Summary: Good and calm spot to see aurora lights, short travel time by car to Sortland, Andoya and further nice things. The house is really cosy, the view is incredible and the hosts are really friendly. We loved to stay there and they gave us Lego to play for my two years old child and a historical potty :-) and secured the stairs. Really family friendly. Thanks Karin an Jรถrg for you lovely accommodation.

Summary: Very peaceful, spacious, comfortable property with expansive sea views. There is a lovely small sandy beach at the end of the โ€œgardenโ€ and a beautiful seating area right next to the sea. Itโ€™s a beautiful spot to relax and soak up the amazing views. We enjoyed exploring the area and discovering the beautiful coastline. The owners live just next door and were very kind and friendly. We enjoyed fishing from their boat which we rented (800 NOK per day) and we also enjoyed the wood fired hot tub which is just in front of their home (800 NOK per use). There is also a metal canoe (fits 2 adults) available (no cost) from which we enjoyed fishing. We had a great week here with some very fine weather and we would love to return sometime. We spent the previous week in Lofoten but we preferred here as the scenery is still very dramatic yet there are much fewer tourists.

Summary: The house was warm and comfortable, and very well appointed. The location, close to Sortland and recreational activities, but away from the main roads provides a peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the scenery and wildlife along Godfjord. Karin and Jorg were wonderful hosts, offering suggestions for activities in the area and sharing their hospitality and knowledge of the Vesterรฅlen region. I will stay here again on my next visit to northern Norway.

Summary: Grasnes is an amazing and beautiful place. The house is fresh, cosy and fully equipped. We slept like kings and queens in the beds. The view is breath taking with the turqoise water and high mountains. You have only a few steps to a beach with white sand. I would love to return to this wonderful house. The owners are a lovely and hospitable couple, who are delighted to give you advises of places to go.

Summary: Well where can I start? This house is absolutely perfect in every way. For a start the location is stunning, right on the beach with a fabulous view in all directions. The house has been lovingly built by the owners, Karin and Jorg, and features a wealth of interesting little design touches such as a staircase made from a tree from the farm and glass fishing buoys to make the safety rail. The house is very well equipped in every way, with an enormous freezer, fridge and all the kitchen utensils you could want. It was spotlessly clean and extremely cosy with plenty of hot water. So given that it was practically perfect, what did we particularly enjoy? Well one highlight was certainly the hot tub, which is not to be missed but our favourites were the spectacular views of the sea from the huge front windows and having a barbeque in the firepit right down on the beach while our teenage boys tried out the canoe (and even caught a cod!).

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. The house is great for a family (2 adults and 4 kids) vacation. All needed facilities are available and the house is in a calm location with a great view onto the fjord. Karin and Joerg are perfect hosts.

Summary: Spent a almost a week as guests of Karin and Jรถrg with our four kids. Enjoyed the house, situated directly at Godfjord, and the neighboring hosts a lot. Jรถrg went out fishing with the kids and both of them guided us to a very impressing barbecue place in a remote bay of the fjord. House sleeps a family of six very well, we enjoyed many details such as shoe dryer, the complete kitchen equipment, and the magnificent view from the dining / living room. Next shopping in Sortland is a 20 min drive away, however, the quietness and wilderness compensates more than sufficiently for the distance to "civilization".
